The ISCKON HareKrishna Heritage Tower foundation stone laid by KCR, near Sri Krishna Gaushala, Kokapet

At The Trilight, we value not only luxurious living but also, the preservation and appreciation of our culture and heritage. The Sri Krishna Gaushala at Kokapet, located in our vicinity, will be a wonderful example of this. In this month's edition, we will talk about this unique and beautiful place near our residential complex: Sri Krishna Gaushala at Kokapet and the upcoming Isckon temple in the vicinity.

A gaushala is a shelter for cows, where they are protected and cared for. Cows are considered sacred in Hinduism, and many people donate money or resources to support gaushalas. The Gaushala at Kokapet is home for more than 2000 cows and has recently given a parcel of land in the vicinity for building a magnificent Radha Krishna temple on the same premises by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

The foundation stone of the"Hare Krishna Heritage Tower " at Kokapet. was recently laid by the Chief Minister of Telangana, K. Chandrashekar Rao, in the first week of May 2023. The temple is going to be an iconic skyscraper 400-foot-high structure in 6 acres plot on 100ft 120ft roads on two sides. It will cost approximately around 200 Crores.

It will house the temples of Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Sri Venkateswara Swamy. A large Radha Krishna temple hall will accommodate 1500 devotees at a time with magnificent architectural elements. The stone-built Venkateswara Swamy temple will have a Prakara of 37,000 sft and is inspired by the designs of the world-renowned Tirumala Temple.

The campus will also highlight Telangana heritage in the form of Kakatiya Architectural elements.

The latest technology like Hologram, Laser projection, etc., will be used inside to create engaging and immersive experiences that will narrate the legends of Lord Krishna in a captivating manner, especially for the younger generations. An Annadhanam hall of 500 capacity per shift will serve Anna Prasadam to visiting devotees. Other amenities also include Library, Kalyani, Auditorium, Kalyana Mandapa, IMAX Cheatre, Open Air Theatre, Lecture halls, Queue complex, Guest house (100 rooms), shram, etc. The temple is expected to be completed by 2025.

The development of Kokapet as a residential and commercial hub has been remarkable in the past few years. With the construction of new roads, flyovers, metro stations, IT parks, malls, schools, hospitals, and hotels, Kokapet has become one of the most sought-after locations in Hyderabad. But amidst all this modernisation and urbanisation, the ISCKON temple at Kokapet along with the existing Gaushala will stand as a reminder of our ancient culture and values. It’ll be a place, complementing The Trilight, where we can reconnect with our roots and appreciate the simple joys of life.
